We are proud to welcome Su’emalo Joe Farani Faga to the ECG (Elika Consulting Group) family where he will be leading our communications and media workstreams.
Su’emalo brings over three decades of experience in government service, media production, and Pasifika community engagement. His diverse career across the justice sector, housing, alternative education, content production and videography makes him the perfect fit within our dynamic team culture.
Su’emalo has built an impressive portfolio of creative work in different mediums, from media content and video production to graphic design and animation. His talent and skill has attracted collaborations with established organisations, such as TVNZ, Sky TV, Māori TV, Sunpix, as well as various NGOs and international bodies like the US Embassy. He has worked on projects around the world and is well known for capturing the authenticity of a story with uplifting and relatable narratives. Su’emalo is also a seasoned trainer, where he has travelled around the Pacific to lead production and videography workshops for media organisations in Samoa, Fiji and Tahiti.
“I am excited to join the ECG team, where I can apply my passion for media and community engagement to help amplify stories that matter,” Su’emalo said. “ECG’s commitment to the Pacific aligns with my values, and I look forward to contributing to the impact we create together.”
As a Senior Media and Communications Consultant, Su’emalo will add another creative perspective to our work and oversee the growth of our content production work moving forward.
Chief Executive Officer, Leaupepe Ralph Elika, expressed his enthusiasm for Su’emalo’s appointment, stating, “We are blessed to have someone of Su’emalo’s calibre join our team. His deep understanding of the Pacific, combined with his technical expertise, will take ECG to the next level as we look to expand our production capabilities.”
Su’emalo is also a co-founder of Lifespring Pasifika, a faith-based trust that delivers life skills training and Pasifika cultural workshops.
